The Fall 1997 meeting was a joint meeting of SAT with California Association of Toxicologists, Southwestern Association of Forensic Scientists, and Northwestern Association of Forensic Scientists.

The Spring 2003 meeting was a joint meeting with the California Association of Toxicologists.

Meetings generally start with an informal gathering on Thursday evening, with presentations Friday morning to noon Saturday. Activities include opportunities to visit with peers and discuss common interests, formal presentations of papers, and vendor booths. Meetings may include workshops or a focus on a specific topic.

Meeting Grants may be awarded to members working in a non-supervisory capacity who present a paper at the meeting. Details are available concerning amount of award, qualification, and application .
